NORTHERN LIGHTS, UKAHALA–Ever wanted an RFCP medal in real life? Now, for the first time in RFCP history, your dream can become a reality!
The Medal of Merit is the most prestigious and most difficult medal to obtain in RFCP. To earn this incredible honor, you have to commit a remarkable achievement that the Commander deems worthy of the medal. So far, only 8 people out of hundreds have obtained this medal, at time of the writing of this blog. And who knows, maybe YOU can be the next recipient, if you continue to work hard!

On September 10th, 2020, Prior Bumble announced groundbreaking news for Medal of Merit recipients. Any soldier or Officer who has obtained the high-ranking medal is now eligible to obtain a real life version! The medal is handcrafted by our very own founder, Prior Bumble, and I gotta say, it’s a really fine looking medal if you ask me.
Cmdr. Prior said it takes him about two days to make each medal, and that he uses popsicle sticks, glue, glitter, Sharpies, a bottlecap, and lots of love with his own two hands.
This medal is certainly not the first piece of real life RFCP merchandise, but it is the first award that soldiers can not only receive digitally, but physically as well!
(There ARE lovely buttons in the RFCP store bearing the medals’ likeness, but these do not count as a real medal. See below anyway!)
So far, 2 real-life Medals of Merit are known to exist.
Keep in mind that this incredible handmade medal is only available for those who had already received the Medal of Merit from the Commander. But could there be real-life mints of the other RFCP medals, such as the Medal of Honor and the RFCP Black Star?
“I’m not ruling it out,” Cmdr. Prior said. “If I see demand, I’d love to make them for you.”
You heard it here! If we like that idea, comrades, we better let him know!
Whether you are one of the lucky enlisted to already earn the Medal of Merit, or possibly a future recipient, make sure you take the opportunity to receive this priceless piece of RFCP culture and history! Contact a Banker–or Prior Bumble himself–to order your very own Medal of Merit today!
