BLIZZARD, AOW225–Come celebrate the army’s biggest event and learn who takes home the awards!
Two things set apart the Recon Federation of Club Penguin (RFCP)’s 10th Semiannual Feddie Awards.
First, this is the first year the awards were 100% hybridized, meaning soldiers from all time zones could experience the awards asynchronously rather than just watch them: Below, the winners are presented in interactive scratch-off cards, puzzles, and revealer games! This is in addition to the in-penguin celebration that occurred on Thursday, January 25, 2024, in the igloo of Commander Prior Bumble. The venue was notably toned down–made more intimate–to compensate for the second thing that set these Feddies apart, which we will discuss next.
Second, this year unveiled the first ever SAFA–Special Action Feddie Award–which is a $50 USD grant soldiers had to apply for. The applications had to have been cooperative, meaning soldiers needed to decide amongst each other what was really important, and it had to be a need, not a want (such as school supplies, repairs, gas money, etc.).
The SAFA replaced some of the previous staples of the award ceremony. It was awarded in the stead of four of the five “Big Five” awards–Warrior, Innovation, Reconnaissance, and CollinZFresh Peace Prize–leaving only the colossal RFCP Legend Award untouched.
In doing their applications for the SAFA, however, soldiers were required to suggest funny award names to be assigned at randomly to soldiers as their Feddies. Our entertainment for the day!
These two historic changes adapt to the real needs of our army.

THE SAFA
Thank you to all who applied to the inaugural SAFA. We wish all wishes could be granted, and maintain that RFCP is a place where we hope your dreams can come true. It was amazing to see how soldiers thought of each other, applying on behalf of others or not applying at all for fear of taking the award away from someone else, as this person almost did (before the Commander prompted him). This year, the SAFA goes to a soldier who has been depressed and struggling to find happiness. The breaking of a well-loved technological device seemed like the last straw. The SAFA shall go to repairing or replacing the device. The recipient is our beloved Col. Randomplayer10. Congratulations.
