Commissar Hamster here, with everyone’s favorite senior reporter, Field Marshal Arne, to bring you Issue 11 of our weekly Sunday Fun-Day blog!  I tend to be the one editing these articles, so it is a nice change to be writing one this weekend!  In today’s article, we will bring you an update on all of the fun events and news of the week, Arne’s update on the current server takeover, an EXCLUSIVE Officer interview, a brand new section by Arne, and of course, lots of fun RFCP-themed puzzles!  Stay tuned for a SPECIAL announcement at the very end!

Weekly Recap

This week we started off with a fun Minecraft Monday game night! Our amazing Sergeant Rose was kind enough to open her multiplayer Minecraft server for any RFCP member to come and play!  While we had a mostly quiet week otherwise, we jammed it up on Friday night with a Panic! At The Disco voice chat party, where our very own Sergeant Krispy (AKA “Panic! All the Time”) brought some of the musical group’s finest tracks to the RFCP voice chat.  On Saturday evening, we headed down to Club Penguin Rewritten dressed up as elderly penguins for our Boomer event!  We had a grand old time roleplaying as boomers and even smacking each other with our canes!

Panic! All the Time is a big Panic! At the Disco fan!
Everyone dressed up at our fun Boomer Event!

Ask The Void!

Today, reporter-in-training and editor Commissar Hamsterlover sat down and interviewed our very own Colonel Voidwalker!  Voidwalker is well-known for being the technical guru of the army, and even has his own channel for technical support, known as #infinity-tech-omega.

Question: So everyone in RFCP knows you as the tech genius of RFCP.  How did you become so good with computers anyway?

Answer: Taught myself…. and Wikipedia, lol. I was introduced to computers at a young age. Around 8 years ago, I clicked on an ad when I was younger that was about a Mario game and thought, “Oh hell yeah!” and then I got a virus.

Q: Oh no, that’s not good!  Was this what inspired your A.I., V.I.R.U.S.? (Voidwalker had created his own artificial intelligence known as V.I.R.U.S.)

A:  No, no, I was inspired by J.A.R.V.I.S from Iron Man. Favorite Marvel hero.

Q:  Ooh, nice!  On that note, what is your favorite Iron Man movie and why?

A: 3, Iron Legion. The Iron Legion is all of Tony’s suits controlled by J.A.R.V.I.S. It’s awesome.

Q: *writes down idea for movie night* Oh, right, last question! Before we go, can you provide some advice from your experience to keep our soldiers safe on the Internet?  The only “virus” we like in RFCP is your A.I.!

 A:  Nice one. Don’t click on any suspicious links from people, try not to post info about yourself online, don’t accept friend requests that have nothing in common with you, and turn on 2-Step Verification. Also, 01010010 01100101 01101101 01100101 01101101 01100010 01100101 01110010 00101110 00100000 01000011 01101000 01100001 01101110 01100111 01100101 00100000 01101001 01110011 00100000 01101111 01101110 00100000 01110100 01101000 01100101 00100000 01001000 01101111 01110010 01101001 01111010 01101111 01101110 00101110.

Q:  Sounds great, thank you for your time! *Hmm if only I had a binary translator offhand to understand your last message…*

A:  No problem!

Great news for the server! Voidwalker’s artificial intelligence, V.I.R.U.S., will be joining our server as a server bot!  It can ping roles, DM people, and even start up a new conversation in the chat if someone says “dead chat”!

Now onto Arne with news of the latest server takeover:

A Cereal Takeover?!

My prayers from last week were answered, and we were freed from the Pokémon takeover. But like Titan from Megamind said, “More like, under new management.” Now there’s cereal everywhere. My swimming pool has been filled with Cheerios for the last four days. Everyone got their roles changed, and nickname swaps followed. So that got me thinking: what’s your favorite cereal? Mine’s Chocapic, made by Nestle (which isn’t available in the U.S. lol), but I’d like to see what yours is in chat!

We are having a ce-REAL great time!

Arne’s Poppin Facts!

Welcome to Arne’s Poppin’ Facts, our new segment where I share with you five pointless and weird facts that I didn’t really need to know but here we are. So this week we have the following Poppin’ Facts!

  1. Fortune cookies aren’t chinese, they were created in San Francisco for a Japanese restaurant, and they weren’t sold in China until 1989.
  2. The Eiffel Tower was going to be destroyed during the 1910s, but they didn’t do it because it was used to intercept radio transmissions in World War I.
  3. Harrison Ford was supposed to have a fight scene against that swordsman at El Cairo during Indiana Jones: Raiders of the Lost Arc, but he shot him instead because his shoulder hurt and they just kept that in.
  4. The first vending machine is believed to have been invented during Ancient Egypt so holy water could be sold easily at a temple.
  5. Newborn babies can’t cry, as they aren’t able to yield any tears for up to two months, but they can and will scream their lungs out.

That’s all for this week!  Tune in next week for 5 more poppin’ facts!
